Objectives
The main objective of the CAADP Kampala 2025 Summit is to highlight the pathways to transform African agri-food systems, focusing on sustainable food production, agro-industrialization, and trade for sustainable food production and economic transformation. The event also aims to adopt the 10-year CAADP Action Plan (2026–2035), setting a strategic direction for the next decade. The specific objectives of the conference are to:
- Bring together high level stakeholders to highlight the CAADP Action Plan and Africa’s long-term planning under the transformative
Agenda 2063 (towards “the Africa We Want”) - Deliberate on and endorse the CAADP Action Plan (2026–2035) and the Kampala Declaration.
Who should attend
The Summit will gather African Heads of State, high-ranking government officials, senior policy makers, private-sector players, farmer
organizations, scientists and researchers, amongst many others.
