"Building Resilient Agri-Food Systems in Africa"

The CAADP Kampala 2025 Summit is Here!

The African Union Commission (AUC) will host the Comprehensive Africa Agriculture Development Programme (CAADP) Kampala 2025 Summit from January 9th to 11th in Kampala, Uganda.
The theme of the conference is "Building Resilient Agri-Food Systems in Africa", which reflects a powerful vision for Africa's agricultural potential under the CAADP to harness the continent's vast resources—fertile land, diverse ecosystems, water bodies, and favorable climates—to achieve food security, improve nutrition, and stimulate economic growth.

The high-level engagement will bring together multiple stakeholders including government leaders, the private sector, farmer organizations, farmers and the general public for a three-day conference which will culminate in the CAADP Action Plan (2026–2035) and the Kampala Declaration. Other participants will include representatives of the scientific community, academics, farmer associations, agricultural NGOs, advocacy groups, leading donor organizations and the media. Over 2,000 participants are expected to attend the event.
